2. William Wilson, son of Ukn. Wilson & Ukn, born about 1838 in North Carolina. William was killed during the Civil War. He married Adalet Burton, daughter of Thomas Burton & Margaret Porterfield, on Feb. 25, 1858 in Orange County, NC. She was born about 1838.
In 1850 Adalet is found in the Orange County, NC census with mother Margaret Burton and siblings. In the 1870 census of Orange County, NC she is listed with Catherine Ray, listed as a domestic servant.

Third Generation
3. John Henry Wilson, son of William Wilson & Adalet Burton, was born Oct. 15, 1863 in Person County, NC and died on Jan. 21, 1936. He is buried in Hebron Church, Saxe, VA.
Silas Hopkins who was from Hurdle Mills, NC adopted John Henry; after his father was killed in the Civil War.
John first married Leanah Hall on Dec 26, 1888 in Pittsylvania County, Va. She and John Henry were 24 at time of marriage. She is the sister of America Hall Williams, John's second wife.

He second married America Hall Williams on April 22, 1893 in Pittsylvania County, VA. She was born about 1859.
America was 32 and John was 28 when they married. Her maiden name was Hall, She married and divorced a Williams, before marrying John Henry.
